Changing servers for our website?
« on: September 27, 2013, 10:53:28 AM »
Thinking of changing servers.

Going to redo our awful website. BUt the server just sucks i think.LOL.. my friend did our website about 7 years ago. He's not doing them anymore so really no reason to stick with him. It just seems like the server we are on has limitations, not sure what those are though.

What should i be looking for with a hosting site?

Is there any down time?

any other info that may be helpful?

thanks

Rob

Not GoDaddy.

We have HostGator and they've been great, the few times I've
had issues I was able to speak with someone.

They recently sold to another company though so we'll see how it goes.

Lots of folks like Dreamhost and Bluehost as well.

I use softecsys.net. They are a smaller local company... I love working with them. I also have a site on godaddy. I haven't done much with it but there are no problems I am aware of.
