We did this, it is not easy, and I wouldn't describe it as fun..... Is there a lot of them? It is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to have it done before the hat is assembled. This can be done in the US also so no 2 month turn time. Flat brim is the only way to go.

We do it. If printing direct, fine detail is a bit of an issue. Only 1 color prints.
We have also done it with plastisol heat transfers. If you have the time and are making a decent margin, transfers are a breeze and turnout great.
Hope this helps & good luck.

I have...black brim, black ink...so it was easy...LOL...I would only do one color, darker ink color than the brim..no way we could have flashed.

When going through the dryer i think  i had to slow it down for the cure...hard time reaching temp...

Never printed but I did do heat applied vinyl and it looked good, white on a dark brim too. Never even thought about screening them. I can only imagine that using a heat press would be far easier to use.

I also heat seal the top of the brim, and it's kinda' nice, the way it follows the seams.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Oh no, it would still take 2 months...well, probably 5-6 weeks actually.

Screen printing transfers is how we usually do it if the order is small enough. It can get tricky if they want a pattern covering the whole bill. The corners are notoriously difficult,  using s smaller platten has been our best solution.

how are you guys positioning the hat on the pallets? we've done it before for kicks but you really can't get 30-40% of the area due to it being flat pallet on a curved item...i was almost thinking cut out a "hole" in the end of a wood pallet so the hat bucket sits in there while your bill is U shaped, supported by printable pallet all around there.  Of course, who has time to make that...
