I tape both sides because it never fails on long runs ink will always find its way through the screen and onto the shirt. I did realize this weekend when removing the tape for screen claiming that I need to pay more attention to how I put the tape on. It is sometimes taking too much time to get it off due to the way I over lap the tape.
Odd that was an issue with the javelin for obvious reasons. But once switching to a chopper style press I never have the emulsion break down, only on smaller palettes does this happen.
hey Stan,
Absolutely no adhesive remains at all with the so called "DUCT TAPE" which is not at all like the duct tape you are thinking of. I have attached a pic below of brand name i have used in the past, see pic.
I hit the dollar stores here (there are 3 ) always looking for tape and the like for the business.
The one store I like best called "the dollar store" is pretty much a get what you find store...i love it, on any given day you can find ANYTHING selling for a buck or less.
The guys who run it buy seconds, loss leaders and just plain stuff , junk and crap and throw it in the store for a buck.
The specific tape I have at the moment is no name currently but other times they are branded. I usually buy a couple of rolls i think will be OK try them out and if good go back and buy the whole freaking load. The crappy stuff i use to close boxes etc.
You might touch base with Screenexpress (Wayne from the boards here) who asked the same question some time ago and was the reason for the video i sent you. I believe he actually contacted thsi manufacturer and bought some tape? you might ask him how he made out
Hope this helps...
