Pierre,

Nice work. The print looks sharper than the poster. I don't know how you are getting 4CP to print on a underbase with out it starting to look muddy after 50 or so shirts. I am sure your using a halftone underbase but still. Are you flashing the underbase?

Jon

we had a little color drift (magenta) during the run, but otherwise it printed fine. it was just shy of 200 pieces.

The underbase is definitely halftone and there is not a lot of it which helps. I've never had good luck printing on slabs of white ink.

You never cease to amaze me, Pierre.  I know printers with decades of experience who still don't want to even try this style of printing.

Good job indeed.

growling stomach will make you try just about anything. I had no other work when this stuff came about and had the time needed to learn it. If there were other orders waiting, it might have been a different story.

The reality is, this stuff is not that hard. 'spend a little bit of money and get somebody to do a consulting visit. In three days most anybody can be doing 90% of what we are printing.  At the end of the day, it is just pushing a squeegee like for any other print. The difference is the seps and the screens. Good screens will come with RnD (or a consultant) and the seps you get from somebody who charges more than $50 to separate. It really is that easy, just have to want it . . .

pierre,

the print does look great. the only real success i have had with 4cp on color/dark shirts is when reproducing a "cartoonish" original art. i try to stay away from 4cp these days, when i can.

Admiral,

The print looks great!   How many colors on the gray tones,  3? and a yellow?

Pretty fine dots also. 60?

What mesh?

Very nice.

Thanks
