Superb print nation.  That's some really tight registration on the little dots between the city and states.

It's not a job if you love doing it.

Thanks for the kind words. Surprisingly, 3 of the 5 screens were 230 off brand mesh from a local supplier. They  were between 14-16n. The other 2 screens were my newer 225-S from spot color that were between 20-22n. I'm sure, had I used the 225-S for everything, the print would of came out even nicer. But all things considered, I'm pleased with the outcome.

As my old boss, who was the art guy, used to say whenever I pulled off a sweet, clean, tightly-registered print: "It's all in the seps!"  ;)

Seriously, though, you did a great job! And thanks for sharing, too. I love that some award-winning high-volume shops & some superbly artistic shops post their pics here, but it's also great to see really good examples the kind of stuff any local shop might be asked to pull off. This is the quality of work that keeps customers coming back & telling people about you.

Nice guys laugh last.

Did the seps for this job, but unfortunately we had to sub out the printing to another local shop since we couldn't fit the production into our schedule to meet the customers' in-hands date. Separated manually in Photoshop, 7 colors on 230 mesh @50lpi. Went on the back of basic 50/50 zip hoods.

Jay, It's always exciting to see the results on shirt!
This one probably was printed a little too light or possibly the mesh was too high as well. It seems the solid areas needed a heavier coverage and the dark solid color areas could be knocked out to shirt color with no underbase. This may pop more detail in the image that might be there but is not otherwise showing up as well.

Thanks for the incite Dan. This was among the first press checks after registration, so the print did darken/saturate a bit as the ink started flowing more. I think the base was on 195, using lower mesh for top colors would help with printing on the hoodie 50/50, correct? I know this material wasn't the best to get fine prints on. I know my seps weren't perfect either, as I'm pretty much self-taught doing simulated seps, however, I'm not a rookie either as I've been using Photoshop/Illustrator for ~15 years. I know I have a long way to go/learn though, that's why I figure I would post here.

I agree - I've not seen foil used quite like that before. And it took my second look to notice that this is CMYK, too - unusual tonal range for CMYK. I like seeing your work, SERJ - it's like every piece is a challenge for me to keep improving. :)
