I take it they are metric. 90 mesh count = 225, 120.34 mesh=305-T. Y=yellow I guess.

Are you doing this with inkjet film? I just don't see how the average shop (or above average shop) could pull that off with inkjet.

SERJ,

I would be interest in the minimum dot % that you can hold at 90 lpi.

Are you compressing your tonal range? For example, have you intentionally cut your smallest printable dot to a minimum of 10% as your smallest dot and 90% in the shadow tones?

Have you opened up your middle tones (50% range) at all?

My Range can vary from 2 to 95%, I think I understand your correctament or questions
I do not Use compression. I'm using a different exposure time for each color

This print is from a photo I took of a deer skull.
I found it while walking around our property.
White under base, black and highlight white.
All at 45 line on 230.

6 color sim process.  I thought it came out nice with just one test print and away we went.  This took about 15 minutes of press time for the entire job, only 36 shirts.

Here are two we just did!

The Mc Chris design is 9 colors on Tultex Fleece.

The Fat Wreck Chords one is 4 colors all discharge!

with 2 more heads on our press, it's still not enough...but, still learning a thing or two everyday!

Awesome Eric, how much more control do you have over the process versus a month ago?  Having more control can make all the difference when it comes to a lot of the prints that are being posted on this thread.  Sure, some of the older machines still GOT IT, but I've always been a huge proponent of technology on the press side.

Honestly our old press would have printed these just fine. The mc chris print may have shifted from platten to platten, very little amounts, but it wouldn't have been perfect on every single one.

Also these took about 30 mins each to set up, where as before that MC design would have taken 3 to 4 hours
