Yep if the screen is not square it throws it off a bit. I just started using this so its nor refined yet but seems to be working, I plan on adding a side stop to one of the platens on the press and it should work out good,    I hope

I'm starting to see a clear disadvantage using side clamps...  :-\

just build a reg system around them.  I prefer side clamps, you should be able to use rods instead of solid sides.

In the last 6 month we have build
-a very nice washout booth with backlights. All made from stainless steel.
-an even better screen drying cabinet

Saved a lot of cash on doing some DIY.

Rockers, you are officially uninvited from this forum.  Your DIY stuff is way too nice and you are making the rest of us look bad.

Really, really close to mine.

I have 2 stops on the back and only 1 on the right side.  Other than that and that I used cut off bolts for the stops, it's almost identical, including the cutout for the clamps.

That's pretty nice, Wayne.

Thanks Tom.  It was real easy to make.  Building that and platens for the press out of MDF and formica only requires a saw, sander, router, contact cement, and my wife's rolling pin (to roll out the air bubbles).

Sorry that was not my intention. I can post some photos of my very first screen drying cabinet. That would make you feel better for sure.  ;)

Nice, but way too complicated.  I'll snap a photo of ours in the am, all we did was use a piece of angle aluminum that we wedged into the washout tank.  Works great and was $8 and almost instant to install

Right. We came up with a similar idea after we had finished this one. Too late now but never mind, we do like to play around;)
