question for those who use a pin registration system
« on: February 20, 2013, 03:43:30 PM »
We just got our platten back from stretch devices today.

It looks like they drilled holes in our platten to attach our swing arms, which is fine, but it looks like caused little mounds on the edges of the platten where they drilled.

Is this typically how it comes?

No. At least ours doesn't have this.  The whole angle on the swing out arms is you can print on that platen v. pulling one off and loading a reg platen.  Having a lumpy platen on one arm is no bueno.

For what those guys charge for the install, I would reject it.  Not trying to give stretch a hard time, love those guys, but that doesn't fly.  Maybe it was shipping damage?

Please call them and discuss your issues as the mounting is different for each brand of equipment.

Thanks!
