Imprintables Warehouse Offers New Custom iPhone Case Setup Video
« on: February 13, 2013, 12:49:14 PM »
As part of his Training Time Out video series at www.myversacamm.com, educator Steven Jackson, Imprintables Warehouse, demonstrates how to create a cover for an iPhone using Coreldraw and a printer/cutter.

The video starts out with examples of iPhone covers already finished, and Jackson demonstrates how easy it is to adhere them and then pull them back off the phone. He used a repositionable wall graphic material and suggests if this type of material is used, that the user purchase a clear plastic cover with rubber edges to slip over the printed cover to keep it from getting scratched.

Otherwise, the wall graphic material could be laminated or a more durable print-and-cut product would be Arlon 6000XPR, which is a cast wrap material.

Next we go to the computer where in Coreldraw Jackson shows a predesigned template, which is available here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/18923867/MVC%20Downloads/Files/Iphone%204%20or%204s%20Skin.eps

In a step-by-step demo, he shows how to grab the design and put it inside the template as well as how to create a bleed zone. Once finished, the file is output as a pdfx3 or an eps. and sent to the printer.
