Heck of a deal...
« on: January 14, 2013, 10:05:36 AM »
Well, I bought a used 2006 RPM 8 color press with 2 quartz flashes.  The kicker is I also picked up about 200+ gallons of Wilflex custom matched PMS colors...included.  They are all GNS colors.  It seriously at least doubles my inks on hand.  I think I am going to sell some because I just don't have the space or desire to store them.

The press is sweet though and best part is it's local.

Now I just have to get the some electrical drops put in.  I don't think my electrician friend is coming down anytime soon.  UGH.

Well, I bought a used 2006 RPM 8 color press with 2 quartz flashes for $11k.  Not too bad of a deal.  The kicker is I also picked up about 200+ gallons of Wilflex custom matched PMS colors...included.  They are all GNS colors.  It seriously at least doubles my inks on hand.  I think I am going to sell some because I just don't have the space or desire to store them.

is that the same press as Alan's? That is a steal!

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

You'll have to use an electrician enemy then... you don't want that 11K sitting around doing nothing...

And yeah, i thought it was a good deal.  They didn't use it because the thought it was too complicated.

I'd have probably moved operations back to my shop at home.  I have more room there, I just don't like being disconnected.
