Tajima recently released a new machine attachment that allows an embroiderer to “sew” Swarovski crystals onto fabric. Specially made crystals feature a hole that allows a needle to go through to attach the crystal to the material. A clear thread is used to create a cross stitch, which holds the stone firmly in place.
Crystals are stored in a tube as part of the attachment, which releases one crystal at a time to be sewn. One size of crystal is available at this time in 15 popular colors. The device attaches to needle 15. For more information, go to
