I don't know how you guys down south deal with it for so long, but were into our 3 rd day of  100* weather with the humidex, The only advantage is the ink works way better at this temp.

We are in the same boat in Connecticut, high 90's today and predicting breaking 100 tomorrow that is actual temp not the heat index.

I love two things I always here people say about Connecticut

"Its always cold in CT"

or

"It doesn't get hot in CT"

Its over 100 everyday here. I think today is going to be 108 or something like that. The shop is 82 with the evap cooler running. Last year I wasn't able to run the evap because of the way it was set up. (it was running way to fast and blowing everything in the shop around.)

I would take 108 with zero humidity over 100 with high humidity any day.

I would agree with you on that. I'm from Wisconsin originally and a humid summer there is much worse than our summers here.

Hey ScereenGear,  What size is your shop?  I checked out your facebook page. Looked pretty close to something I was looking. I think it was 2200 square foot. Prices here in Fl are running about $600-$800.00 + for industrial space.

So your the one that went to my facebook page. I don't do anything with that page. My shop is 2800 SF Its way more than I need except when I need room to sort big jobs. I have a 1200 shirt order in right now with about 28 different designs. I use alot of the shop floor to sort the shirts into boxes for each of the designs. That job sucks but it will make this month my best month ever.

We're hot here in Mass too, but I've been doing this so long, it just doesn't matter. My car thermometer read 100° at lunch time. Of course, they say it affects the old and very young the most; guess which group I'm in... gasp, gasp

This summer has been easy so far, especially compared to last summer with 100 days of 100+ degree heat with no damn rain.  I think we've only had a few days of high 90's, 100 degree heat so far and at this point last year we were at about 25-30 days at 100.  We've had 2 days in a row of noon thunderstorms roll through the area and keep things in the high 80's low 90's.  I think 2009 was a great summer with several days a week of thunderstorms then 10' and 11' were absolute killers, the worst heat you could ever imagine for 3 months straight.  At one point Lake Travis was around 50' low and at 37% full capacity.  There were no boat ramps to use and hundreds of docks and boats sitting on the rocks.  It's very strange to drive out there and see it like that.

my inlaws have a place on possum kingdom lake outside Dallas and its was weird seeing there dock bent so far down just to get to the water..they didnt have it as bad as the rest of the state though.

Mid to high 90s here. Fathers day was 109, glad I didn't have to work that day!

Me and a few more here on the boards live in LA ( Lower Alabama ) and it's June, July and August coming up, its gonna be hot that is just how it is. No suprise here with the temp. it is just hot and gonna be that way next year Hot. I am attaching a little story that I may have posted already if so it is still funny to read over. Drink plenty of H2O!
