Corel X6 and support
« on: May 29, 2012, 07:34:26 AM »
For the first time I'm unhappy with Corel and their customer support. A week or so ago I started using X6 I noticed that the Color Styles feature had changed drastically and I could not use it the same as I did in X5, I posted the question here looking for help. And also sent the same question to Corel for help, I got this email from Corel. LOL.

 Hello Randall Monks,

I am writing to let you know that I will be closing your case as it has been
inactive for ten days. We hope your question has been resolved. However, if you
still need assistance, please visit www.corel.com/askaquestion to submit your
query. We will be happy to help you.

Sincerely,

Jenilyn Daren - Customer Support Representative

NO MY QUESTION HAS NOT BEEN ANSWERED.
YES I STILL NEED ASSISTANCE, BUT I might as well send it to Helen Wait
NO Crap you didn't respond, WHAT you don't know the answer to my question so it is easier to close my case or question. I guess If I ask again that at least gives you (COREL) 10 more days to find an answer. I'm sticking with X5 for now. X6 is loaded but not in use.

Have you asked your question on the Corel Forums? http://coreldraw.com/forums/

We also have Fluid,  a recently named Corel Master here as a member. Perhaps Richard will come to your rescue.

Yes and Yes , I have even ask Foster at Graphics Unleashed. I think this is a old tool that worked fine in version X5 or at least for me, and they changed it ( not good for screen printers.)

I cannot get X6 to print on my Oki 8800 it drops text off and then gives an error message on the second page. I bought it so that I would not be left high and dry due to their new upgrade policy but I am sticking with X5

I will post a short tut explaining how to use color styles for easy changing of colors to spot colors for printing seps this weekend. I am working on a major vehicle design and when finished I will get to helping you guys with your color styles issue.

FYI color styles wasn't working properly in X5 yet we could use it for certain things.  Pretty much just an extra step is needed from the old way and is well worth all the insane features color styles offers now.

Does anyone find the document color palette a useless tool? I mean it works great on a brand new project but if you open an old file it has dozens and dozens of colors listed, have no clue where they come from but they are there. And the option to reset the palette WTH does it do? NOTHING! I should reset the palette to the only existing colors in the graphic.

My gripe is over Corel has been pissssing me off royally lately
