Anyone see this yet in your email?
« on: May 09, 2012, 11:39:17 AM »
Just clicked on the impressions link and BAM!

http://www.impressionsmag.com/impressions/gallery/screenprinting/SCREEN-PRINTING-Spec-2473.shtml

Now, while that is some impressive printing, once again, I can't see the separation program used for the seps on this?  Any info on that?  They never include the separation source. Ho Hum.

It looks like they used FastFilms.  It must have been something from USSPI, that sep job is top notch, no humans can perform at that level.

I wish when they presented a gallery like that, they indicated the number of colours used....

I think much of the details of how it was done is done by the person who entered the information. Pierre @ Blue Moon has an 8 color press. I think his provided that info. Not sure. I know he used 7 colors on it. Actually 4 real colors and 3 whites.

One good thing is, that 2 out of the 6 on that link of award winners are customers of mine. ")

HAHA!  PushRod.  I haven't seen that name in along time. LOL.  I miss him Why hasn't he became a member here?

Yea,  that Blood Moon looks to have been done by a super human or a machine.

I see matteo studios included that they used Separation Studio.  ::)

blue and white underbase
flash
blue 2
red
blue 3
black
white

all through 330 mesh. vampire is printed at 280 dpi, dot size of about 4/100th of an inch.

so much for the nuclear powered!

I was gonna say that, as I already knew it was Dan's... I have one of those too, that Pierre sent me. 280 is one fine, fine grain size, spectacular print.
