No base, one screen Sericol flo Orng 230 mesh 2 hits. Formulating about 30 colors and using this image for sales presentation

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

50......I mentioned on another thread about dots "melting" in the steaming process. This is a pretty good example. Soft smooth detail and no 85 line. All my formulas to start will use two colors for ease of use. One set of shirts for Sales, one for Art, and one for Production

how are you guys mixing your sericol? mine turns into a gel in a few minutes. I'm adding 3% retarder too.

I mixed our red and yellow at 4% and no retard...no gelling as of yet with 4 uses.  Wish I could lead you in the right direction in regards to the gelling but I'm a newb to discharge at the moment.

after talking with Rick, I bet my emulsion has something to do with it gelling. . .I was using DC 521 and I bet it was underexposed, I'm going to try out a few others and see what happens. I know you guys like the 925 rw I believe? I've got a few vendors sending me samples. I'm switching from an SBQ to dual cure. Holy smokes, what a difference. . TP, what is your emulsion of choice for this stuff? that detail is amazing.

I use kiwo discharge for EVERYTHING, even plastisol.  Its great.  Straight out of the bucket no mixing, cleans up super easy.  Its a blue color that exposes in 20 light units.  $60.

Now that is my kind of composition.. It's beautiful..
I wish his left side held more details in the highlights however, maybe around 45 lpi on a 230?
If there is detail there though. That is a question not a recommendation.

I am using CCI WR925 and always use a hardener but others mentioned above will work. There is no hard line around the text thats a computer illusion.

Use a wet towel and apply liberally to both sides. Do not dry with a fan that will cause premature evaporation (did I just make a funny?) The hardener will usually tint the color of most emulsions. Dont for get to use emulsion to blockout target marks and any writing/marking on the screen.
