Did your spell check break?
« on: March 25, 2012, 01:29:59 PM »
This banner was on the side of one of our local chinese buffets.  My wife spotted it and I had to stop and take the picture.  I don't even know where to begin with this one.  Who mispelled?  Who proofed?  Who accepted the mispelling?  How can a simple word that is used quite a bit get by so many people?

This probably has something to do with how it made it through.

It shouldn't but it does.

They should have gone with "ph" at the beginning... I think "fanetics" have a lot to do with it. ;)

I'm still stuck on the Work ID requirement. I can't remember one of my jobs in the last thirty years issuing ID.

I wonder if a business card and drivers licence would count as a work ID?

how many "employed" embroiderers,  printers. loaders, unloaders, and screen cleaners do you know whose boss gets them business cards?

Nope, I think for the most part this work discount is meant for management! lol

You know it is possible that they are located next to a large plant or something and the discount is there to drive their employees to go eat there.

If you had a plant with 1000's of ppl working and had to compete with other local eating establishments this wouldn't be a bad tactic.

If that was indeed the case, and it was my deal, not only would I correctly spell Fryday on my sign. but I'd actually mention Acme Cartoon Props or whatever the next door plant is.

I bet if the "plants" next door involved a growing operation, this could be an especially great tactic!
Perhaps a candy and ice cream parlor as well. ;D

Nope, they are across the street from a large mall.  Good thinking though.
