sea snake

Unusual job - to be printed life size as a sticker for under surf boards. The idea is to scare away surfer threats. Clever, eh?

Awesome art. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing what you've been up to.

The idea is good, however, I don't think that the sharks or any other animal actually see 2 dimensionally like we do. They are attracted to smell and movement. I guessing here, but I thought I watched it on discovery channel or something.

I used to hear the same talk but then  saw video recordings aimed at cats, probably mostly sensing motion. Okay, no big deal thinks I until my present dog.
He recognizes dogs, horses, their animated cousins, dragons, dinosaurs and the like, and barks until they leave the screen.
He even eventually recognizes the music associated with each commercial and rushes in so as not to miss his adversaries.

And no, he is not wearing the 3-D glasses.

I've seen animals pay attention to alot of
things we assume they don't notice as well.

Regardless,

that'll look kickass on a board!
Nice work.

Yea, the gentleman in Hawaii thought it appropriate, but it may be snake oil anyway! It was a fun gig though... and besides, the customer is always right. Thanks for the nice comments!

I know that when you see seagull silhouettes painted on piers, it's to stop sea gulls from crapping on the piers.  I understand that they won't crap on themselves but will on us
It's not a job if you love doing it.

When I feed my dog in the morning he knows which hand I have doogie treats in or even if I put hem in my pocket he goes right to them, talk about having a good nose, and my wifes cat knows the color label on the food she likes the most she picks the blue can evertime no matter how many she sits down for her to choose from  smart cat.

Great looking snake!

Heck yeah, it will work. Those snakes are colored that way as a warning to anything that might want to eat it.

That's why, old surfers, with all of their limbs intact, do most of their surfing early and late.
