Most people east of California call it something else. I just forget what they call it. Tongue is actually quite good if done right. Alot of real Mexican restaurants around here so it's good.

No its not I should have separated those two sentences. Lol. I will check what other states call tri-tip as I remember hearing that it's only known as that in California.

I was having dinner with some friends years ago, and one of them ordered tripe because, "I love all kinds of fish..." Yes, we told him what it was. He couldn't eat it, and the waitress kindly asked "Too spicy dear?" She brought him something else, which was cool.

I tried it once.

I went to a Laotian birth celebration... I was one of two white people there and the other guy wasn't too bright (welder at the port with the other guys)... the girl I was with ran off to giggle with her sisters and I was left with a bunch of strangers not speaking english.

Good time.

Anyway, they use EVERY part of the cow... I tried it... I remember it not being bad but not anything I'd do again either.

Was an interesting evening to say the least.
