Sericol Flourescent Green and Red Blue Shade. I have to say I am impressed with the turnout. The green is a little thicker than the red. Both are pretty thin, nothing like CCIs products which are thicker and have more solvent to prevent drying in the screen.  I am concerned how the Sericol stuff will behave on a hot day but color wise I think its awesome.

Here is a bright, bright almost neon blue we did with Matsui Pigments and CCI discharge white and discharge base we did a long time ago. Numerous washings and still super bright! Not neon green but still bright ass blue!

Are you still using Matsui? I really like the CCI white and base and really like this Sericol stuff from 1st impression. I am still concerned about running any of this stuff when the temp start to climb, easily gets in the 100s in the shop in August and September.

Yup, just the pigments, fixer, and agent. For base/white its CCI. We have tried the Sericol stuff recently and prints well but we have our own formulas for Matsui that work great and brighter than anything else we have seen out of the bucket. But from everyone I talk to you almost have to come up with your own formulas it seems. If you are worried about the temp try adding some pringen and keep a misting spray bottle near at all times. We are in a cold environment up here and we always have a spray bottle handy.

I think before I commit to anything I am going to see how CCI does with their pigments. I like being able to stick with one system. If I am not happy with them I most likely will go Sericol. I cant remember what I read but some people were frustrated with Matsui pigments, maybe it was the formulas.

Damn that green is about a sick point sick on the sickter scale.

A little pastel perhaps but worth it for no hand.  Looks like great stuff.

Yes, the formulas. But from everyone I talk to no matter what system for mixing pantones none of them are 100% accurate. For sure Matsui's takes a lot of learning. After a few years we can mix any pantone within about one shade slightly off if not exact. But that is our system, not theirs. And for certain brands of shirts, not all.

I am excited about the CCI pigments though!

well, we printed it on some samples and the customer doesnt like it.  it's not bright enough.  to be honest, its more toward the kelly green than "neon / bright ass" green.  I think today we are going to mix some neo yellow with the green and see if we can brighten this thing up.  the neon yellow is WOW bright!  i mean, i reached for my shades when i opened the bucket.  we shall see....

Have a great day! :)

If the CCI red is like the sample the rep showed me Sericols is brighter. Hopefully what he showed me is not the final.

As far as the green how much activator did you use Nathan?

3% per Sericol tech support.  How much did you use cause your print sure looks much brighter than mine.
Have a great day! :)
