Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison
What do you folks use for your navy ink? I have both Union and Rutland. They both seem to be very dark. I finally had a customer complain that I used black ink instead on navy. I told them that is the standard stock navy. I have two different brands and that is how it looks. She was ok with the answer. However, I can't help but to agree with her. It is a little too dark in my opinion. Are all navy inks that dark? Is there a different shade of blue that you use when a customer requests navy?
the worst is Port Authority's "classic navy" button downs." I am too colorblind to see the difference.
That's when you need color swatches so that there are no misunderstandings.Whenever someone orders different brands (or fabrics) it is up to you to remind them that they may not be even close on some colors.Just the difference between blacks can be startling.
Union Ink makes a "Light Navy" that is perfectly acceptable Navy. That's what I use and that's because I was around when my buddy was complaining about how dark Union regular navy and how he was using light navy from here on.
