Where to look for conveyor belts
« on: January 31, 2012, 12:46:55 PM »
I am just looking around for a quote on a replacement conveyor belt. I just picked up a Lawson 12ft 36" wide dryer (thanks ebscreen) and though the belt has some life in it I would like to know what it will cost to replace. Hard to find anything online, any suggestions?

Oh heck no, you sending him to hell? AWT/GPI, order a conveyor belt, get sent a floodbar.

I've got a source for you Gerry but I'll have to check with Frog if I can send it along. Last time
I checked on one about that size (may have been ten foot) it was roughly $400.

I did feel slighted when I knew that you posted this elsewhere, and was not going to help until you came back here.  ???

I notice they come in black or tan. Any reason to get one or the other?

I know but the last 2 dryers I had were black belts I thought if there is no actual difference to change it up a little. But being a black belt would be cooler!

If it's like the color of a car where black is always hotter.....I'd definitely go with black to insure a better cure, lol.

See thats what I am wondering, is black technically better for that reason? On the other hand if tan does not absorb the heat as much would more heat be absorbed by the shirt?

I've seen an explanation before, but I can't remember. I think one may also be coated for UV dryers,
the black I would assume.
