How to print information on static frames?

I color code my mesh.  I made a cut out from thin card and spray from a can the color on the frame after we stretch them.

Nope, it’s literally just the regular label straight out of the label maker. Nothing fancy. And 100s of reclaims over the years.

We thought about adding colours to it, but I’m not really trying to spot a screen from across the shop. Plus, a lot of colours are hard to tell the difference of in the dark room.

One less thing to train people on when they can just read the label and learn to understand what 157:48 Y means.

Thank you. I wanted it so I made it!

It’s a Google Form that we fill out quickly using the barcodes. That goes to a Google Sheet. Connected with Zapier. And then displayed in Google’s Looker Studio.

Pretty sure you could rig up an automatic scanner on an auto reclaim. One day!

We have over 1400 screens in inventory. I don't have time to take a pee break let alone do this for 1400 screens.

Ah...the Brothers. Don't get me wrong the labels are awesome, especially the outdoor UV resistant labels.


But...

Labeler: "OK! Here is at least 5" of label! You have no options to reduce the label usage!"

That was one of the questions and didn’t really even answer it. It takes less than a minute to scan a full rack.

length won't fit on the bins, I have to cut each label by hand. Urge to kill, rising

I print a ton of them together separated by a space and manually cut them.  It's a pain, but it works and looks better.

Drives me nuts as well. But I thought about it and it doesn’t seem like an easy problem to solve haha. There needs to be a bit of tape fed through the machine.

And zero incentive for them to solve it since they sell so much of the consumable. I see way worse examples of this in our industry HAHA.
