I wonder what an 8/10 Diamondback S would run. If its 23K for a 6/8 I would imagine the 8/10 to be around 30K, still not a bad price.

Yep!  I been doing the "Happy Dance" all weekend.
We were planning on going auto back in '09, but the "little shop fire" we had at the end of '08 kinda foobard all that.  In hindsight, it's the best thing that could have happened.  New building, new equipment, set up the way we want it, the auto & new compressor are the last 2 pieces of the puzzle.

I look at this way both companies make some awesome machines even though I,m an Anatol guy M&R just has so much stuff out in the market they really need all those techs and Rich comes from a tech background of service where as Anatol builds and inovates machines two differene backgrounds.  I would think if Anatol had as much in the market as M&R no doubt they would have to beef up there tech to handle service calls.  Anyway you you look at it your going to get a good machine from either company.

Anatol makes good presses no doubt but......whenever I need service/parts I often have to leave a message. Inevitably I am always asked to take a pic of the problem or part because they don't know what I am talking about.
This is due to their turnover in these departments.

This right here is why there is an M&R in our shop.

What makes your Diamondack S with the larger print different than the Diamondback XL?

The Diamondback XL has a 20X20 image area and the Diamondback S has a 16X18 image area. That is about it!

I know Brandt has gotten more out of his press as far as advertised print area is concerned. I am wondering if any Diamondback owner has had the same experience being able to get a longer print than advertised.

Scrupulous press manufacturers tend to understate the presses capabilities (particularly print size) and overstate
their requirements (CFM and setup space).

Unscrupulous press manufacturers tend to do the opposite.
