Computer screen resolution
« on: June 04, 2021, 02:42:12 AM »
I want to get a bigger screen for a graphics computer.
i don't want a really expensive screen, I looked at a 27" Dell that is full HD.
I was told that for a 27" screen full HD might not have enough resolution.
I have option of getting a Phillips screen that is 2HD.
I don't have any knowledge about this subject, can someone help?

I would get the 2k. My personal thoughts are that HD is not enough on larger screens. I have dual 24" 2k monitors and would not go back to regular HD.

Also for more screen space you should really get a dual monitor setup. Even dual 23" will be more than double the single 27" screen.

I run dual 34 inch 3440x1440 screens and a 50 inch 4k tv above that for shop cams and watching netflix and such.

Look into types of panels.
There are IPS, VA and TN.

I would go for an IPS panel.

absolutely, no questions about it IPS is the only way to go. then it needs to be LED and if at all possible not edge lit. Monitors I use, and have a few are edge lit. It is not a deal breaker, but the color does shift a little towards the middle of the screen.
