Hurricane Iota is a Cat 5 barreling into Central America tomorrow followed right on the heels of Hurricane Eta’s devastating strike. We are trying to help our textile friends and family as they face another major disaster in two weeks during a global pandemic.
As some of you remember, when I lived in Florida, we were hit hard by a Hurricane or actually three of them that year. To my surprise, my friends in the screen print community showed up for us monetarily. Many are still around and remember that time. (They could’t drive in to help), so they did what they could. I didn’t ask for it, but they showed up monetarily to help me and my family out. They did it out of kindness, generosity, and camaraderie. Screen printers, and everyone involved in the industry, are our extended family.
