Well, I'm on the Mac side, and ran CS6 for as long as I could, but eventually, kicking and screaming, and taking down as many as I could with me, I went the subscription route. Every once in a while, I have to relearn something, but it's quick to find the instruction.

CS6 here on win10.  It should work.  Have you tried running it under compatibility mode?

I've come across very few programs that don't work on win10.  if anything there may be a feature or two that doesn't work.  Just like T-quoter and Quickbooks would no longer communicate.  That was the end of using T-quoter.  Used it for 14 years...not a bad run.

It still works fine, but I just don't have the time to double enter every transaction.

CS3 has been running successfully for a couple of yrs on my Windows 10 along with Ultraseps Plug in.

NO ISSUES

No Cloud for me either........................

Of the Suite, I really only use Photoshop, but Illy comes up......just don't have any experience in it.  For Vector, I use Corel Draw X6.

Is it just me or is the sofeware companies getting together and making us move from our old programs costing us more money, kind of a pain in the butt!!!

They don't have to get together for this. Of course they'd like us to upgrade as often as possible! I will say, however, that I don't seem to suffer as much with seemingly inefficient bloat that some programmers used to give us (me). It seemed that as our boxes got more powerful, they were able to crap up the applications enough to reduce the noticeable improvements in speed.
I noticed a similar situation when the larger shop I worked in got new presses with more colors. The damn artists seemed to arbitrarily add colors to their work, often with no noticeable improvement or difference!

I think is was cs5, macs started leaving out this thing called "Rosetta" from their computers. So you could not use the downloads anymore, so if you bought cs5 upgrade, you could no longer put the suite on a newer mac and install your upgrade.

Most likely too many people pirated it..LOL

Yep, but you could download Rosetta and install it, and you were fine, until you weren't, as they say. Running both Illustrator and Photoshop at the most recent versions.

I value my time too much to try to keep old software running on new machines. Ill happily pay the cost to have all my staff running current Adobe stuff. If you really think about it everything that we do comes out of those. Its a tiny cost at the end of the day.

I agree, except I HATE upgrading.  I find the new versions will sometimes have glitches that cause crashes.

I have had more problems upgrading/updating.

I have mine on auto update, never had a crash from it.
