Brother Offers New DTG GTXpro
« on: August 04, 2020, 04:24:12 PM »
Brother DTG has released another version of its GTXpro B, a direct-to-garment printer specifically designed for high-volume shops. This new version, GTXpro, replaces the bulk ink system with smaller pouches, making it ideal for small to medium shops doing under 1,500 prints a month.

This latest model offers the ability to do prints at speeds of up to 40 dark garments and 55 light garments an hour using the high speed print mode on an 11” x 11” design.  GTXpro outputs 1200-by-1200 DPI dark prints up to 15% faster than the already fast GTX printer.

Ink is supplied via replaceable ink pouches, which minimizes the amount of plastic helping reduce their environmental impact. Designed exclusively for the GTXpro, ink pouches come in three sizes 350cc, 500cc and 700cc. Money can be saved thanks to the daily start-up maintenance cost being reduced by up to 63% due to internal recirculation in the new white ink print head.

An enhanced maintenance station and redesigned wet caps have helped improve the GTXpro in minimizing clogged nozzles. The redesigned caps have also resulted in a reduction of 45% less time in performing the automatic cleaning function.

It’s also more user friendly with a new dual platen height sensor to help maintain optimal platen height for every print. A new print reservation feature allows for the next print job to be sent while the printer is still performing the current function – including while doing maintenance functions.

Its large printing area –16 by 21 inches – and specialty platens, allow shops to expand their substrates and markets with the ability to print over seams and across zippers. And finally, GTXpro uses the Brother specially formulated Innobella Textile inks and pretreatment that hold ECO PASSPORT by Oeko-Tex certification and are CPSIA compliant.

Also increasing the power of the GTXpro is its companion GTX Graphics Lab software. It supports TrueType fonts and third-party platens for aligning artwork. The AccuLine camera helps perfectly line up images without switching between applications, and the continuous print mode requires less time for prepping files.
