Happy to "meet" you guys
« on: January 04, 2012, 07:33:56 PM »
Just found this forum - wanted to introduce myself! I am Nancy, live in S. FL, and freelance in a variety of areas, much of it designing for screen printing.
A bit about me:
Went to American Academy of Art with degree in illustration & graphic design.
Worked for a company called Harlequin Nature Graphics several moons ago, and enjoyed sepping & sampling my own work (usually 7-8 color stuff) Also worked for a Gannett newspaper as an editorial illustrator & learned lots about concept art, cmyk, airbrushing, info graphics, etc. Even had a gig in marketing - learned lots from all of them.
Love freelancing! (Just posted a few things in the Designs section).
Looking forward to learning more from all of you - and maybe make some business connections along the way.
Quick look web: https://sites.google.com/site/nzgfreelance/illustration
Thanks!
Nancy ~ NZG

Hey Nancy, glad you could join us. We are definitely always glad to see Photoshop experts, hoping they'll share their expertise. and in fact, there is a current thread happening right now about what a printer should ask for when given a Photoshop file.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! This looks to be a great forum - so much good info & exchanges... I am glad to be a part of it. Scott - you remember Harlequin! Don't hear that very often. They had the goods, but also had management issues. Too bad. And your work is stellar! ~ NZG

Glad to hear you are doing well.  We are doing well also.  We were so busy before Christmas that I didn't see the outside world for about a week.

Frog, I tried going to the thread mentioned - got an error... any other way to find it?

I just clicked it and it's a good link.
We are getting 500 errors sometimes, but usually, a second click goes through.
