Adelco Cyclone automatic press
« on: March 17, 2020, 04:39:13 AM »
Hi everybody,
we are in for a new automatic press. Have been looking around, got a very good estimate for an M&R Sportsman 10/12, but we got as well an even better quote for an Adelco Cyclone 10/12. I have to say the Adelco looks like a solid machine, almost like a MHM.
Can anyone recall seeing them at Long Beach trade show or anywhere else. I do trust the British to build good machines. And don`t come me now with "it`s build in China", I know that and for me that`s not always a downside.
Feedback please:)

Cheers.

Rockers, what's the price difference between the Sportmans and the Cyclone? Whilst I can't comment on the M&R I can say for sure that the Cyclone is not of the same calibre of an MHM in regards to build quality.
That's not to say that the Cyclone isn't a good machine or that it won't do exactly what you need it to.

I don't think they are ever at ISS Long Beach...

FWIW, there is a used one(Adelco) up by me here and has been for sale for like 4 years I want to say. The place that bought and people that ran it, can't say enough bad things about it. They are used to running MHMs and, again from what I've been told, they have been dying to unload the barely used machine....
Alex

Hopefully I'll never have to grow up and get a real job...
