Not sure if he is still in it, but Gilligan from the boards here hooked us up years ago and I've never looked back. Costs us less than $150 a YEAR for like 7 phone lines. To be fair though, we don't answer the phone much and since it is billed per minute that may have something to do with it...  ;D

We are using Spectrum for the internet and added the phones since we already have service with them. It's been super reliable and can't tell the difference form the normal phones. It's a bundle of 2 lines and I pretty fast internet for $220/month. They are the only provider in the area offering speeds over 1.5Mbm, so we are stuck with them, but the product is good as is the customer service (compared to ATT which requires an hour phone call for anything while Spectrum generally gets it done in 10-15 min).

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

We ended up with Ooma, we're OK with it, but really didn't need 90% of the features, and had to have them change a few things to suit us old folks, but anytime there has been a problem, the support has been top notch. Maybe 4 or 5 times, but otherwise good.
