Hi, my name is Ron.
« on: December 26, 2011, 01:07:59 PM »
Hi, I'm new to this board. I'm a screen printer, have been for about 15 years. Started out in Florida, in a little town called Jupiter. Started my biz after being laid off from my job at FP&L, spent around 10 years printing, before a couple of cat4 hurricanes destroyed my home.  Started a screenprinting shop up here in North Carolina and have been here for about 6 years. We do the typical stuff expected from a shop such as ours, screen printed t's and hats, yard signs, vehicle graphics, business cards, banners, etc, etc, ad infinitum........

Hope you enjoy your stay here. ;D

Come up with enough flat stock stuff and a new category could be born.

Welcome aboard the board. Glat to have you here. We are a pretty good bunch. We have years of experience and the great thing is we are diverse in backgrounds so we can cover many questions. In addition, we are occasionally just a good ear.

Thanks

Dan, Fyou look familiar, weren't you an artist with Disney or something? I seem to rewmember you from a previous board that I frequented when I had my shop in Florida. (as I recall, that board had a lot of immaturity issues going on and eventually crashed and burned). Frog, I'm pretty sure thyat you were there too.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

It's hard to come up with 10 posts, when you really don't have anything to say.

Thats correct, although, I do not work for them any longer. Many here are from that board. We like to think we are the cream of that crop. Two other forums started when the original you speak of burned and we have since evolved into this forum. Our goal here is to be friendly and a resource for business and skills. The original forum while still a valuable resource, did get imature at times as you've mentioned It was far less moderated than this forum and is whgy you did see much of the fiaso's taking place. People are people and we still capable of getting out of line at times but one of us three will always available to help keep things together not to mention the occasional trouble reporter to help keep us on our toes.

As far as how did DK know of your press? The internet has many roads that lead back to you. He probably watched your vid or had seen it in one of your pictures on your website. Nice Family business. Are you Bob Ron Senior or Junior?

It's hard to come up with 10 posts, when you really don't have anything to say.

On the other hand, you really wouldn't want to clog up a nice place like this with filler, would you?
Another forum owner already accuses us of having no pertinent content!
