Dave,

As I previously shared with you our family is just entering into the hard part of this journey, my mother in law is now in a facility where she is getting loving professional care.  However we are still faced with answering the "when do I get to go home to my house" question every time we visit.

I am honored to support you with a hundred dollar donation in support of the love you are demonstrating with your run in support of all we are faced with by this dreadful disease, especially for my loving mother in law, Audrey Swihart.

Your friend through all we face in life.

My Father cared, he just did not know how to share it. Mothers are better than that mostly. That is how we best remember them. And the apple pie.

First of all, I want to thank everyone that chipped in. Y'all are unbelievable. Even though I'm from Iowa, I'm running with the Illinois Alzheimer Chapter. Partially because of your generosity, my group of about 225 runners has raised over a half a million dollars to help find a cure. That is also the highest amount of any chapter in the US. So thanks again. Secondly, I asked everyone that donated to give me names so I could wear them on my shirt on race day. I'd like to amend that. Even if you you didn't donate, I'd still love to carry your loved ones name with me on the run. So donate or not, it doesn't matter, but send me names and I'll include them. This disease does not discriminate. Neither do I. I'll be wrapping up the name screen for printing soon, so if you'd like to include someone, please do it soon.

Thanks again. You make me proud.

Side note. The folks that do the ALZ website liked what I wrote enough that they've asked me to contribute some more. Very humbled again.

If I didn't say it before THANK YOU!!!

Mine as well. As Thumper sits on the Phonio and I type, one has to think. Keep your loved ones close and respected. Check is in the mail.

Dave,
Good luck with the run, don't forget to upload a photograph.
I ran one marathon, it was enough for me.

I will Sunday, because with the help of many, I have raised about 3500 for ALZ research and cure

Thanks again to everyone that supported me and the cause I was running for. Even though my finish time was one of my slowest, because of why I was running it was one of my best. I finished. Hopefully I can personally thank you all, and if I miss you I'm very sorry.
