A few years ago I found a good deal, dirt cheap, on an expo unit big enough to burn my flatstock screens. It didn't have a timer, but I had been using a homemade expo unit with an old darkroom timer I had. So I plugged the vacuum and the lights into the timer and went skipping along. That served me well until a couple of weeks ago when my old trusty timer started to keep running past 0 when it should have turned off. I scouted camera shops, craigslist and ebay and found a really nice digital darkroom timer for about the same as what the old style timers were going for. Back when I developed my own film these timers were uber expensive. $35 and I don't have to use my phone to time exposures like I did after the old timer stopped working.
While I was dealing with this I thought about how some expo units have light unit measurement. Does anyone have info on who makes those and where they could be found? I'm planning to convert this unit to single point soon and going from time to light units might be another good upgrade.
Thanks,
Wm.
