Printing terry hand towels

Hello friends of the shirt board!

I have a job coming down the line for rally towels! Its a one color ink on white terry hand towel. The last time we printed something like this it was not a great time. Looking for some tips on great printing practices. Waterbased inks? Low or high mesh? Pressure? Off Contact? Heat press them before running? Hit me with whatever works for you! Thanks a ton!

I would run a straight up waterbase color. 110 MESH, 70/90/70, zero off contact( you will get much better saturation)

Yes, just waterbase inks like Rick said. Works like a charm. We use a 150S, but that is the lowest count mesh we have.

One more vote for low mesh counts - Thin thread is the best choice.  Slow print stroke.

Try to find a traditional waterbase black - most on the market are HSA inks.  HSA blacks are still really nice - but dont penetrate quite as far into the fabric as traditional WB inks.

But in the end either option is great.

Lower screen tension helps with penetration also. find your loosest screen. Seriously !!
