Anyone ever heat press Pleather?

Got a "cosplay" vest in today and the guy wants a full back print.

I was thinking HTV would be the answer.

Just touched it to my hat press for a few seconds since we had it heated up and it didn't look like it was going to fair very well.

Anyone got any suggestions?

I'd suggest getting some scraps of the material from the guy to experiment with.
I'd also consider a vinyl with the lowest temperature required. Is this cut, or print and cut?

If the stuff won't take the heat, what about cold stick vinyl?

Just cut and heat.

I just don't know how well that would stay adhered with him wearing it and moving around.

It's not like he's gonna wash it.

We typically print with Nazdar 9700 and let air dry.

You can heat press vinyl on faux leather, however depending on the grain the heat press will likely smooth out any texture.

If you want to go heat press route, just cut your backing very close to the image as it will leave indentation, or make it larger than your heat press bed, and use a lot of protection on top, since you'll get less heat go more time, and light pressure if you want the chance of keeping some of the texture if it is a textured material.
