Help with printer setting
« on: December 13, 2011, 02:48:00 PM »
I am printing on a Epson 3000 and have just changed to 13X19 film ( was using 14X19 ). Here is the problem, every time I change the setting to 13X19 it works but on the next print on another job it goes back to 14X19. I have changed the default and efven the custom size and have done bout all I know to do. I am using Corel X4.... any suggestions ???? Thanks ahead of time

try going into the printer setting in the windows control panel and find the "default". I've had to do that and keep going until I tracked all the different settings that had to be changed. Start with the control panel (there should be a button labeled default in the printer configuration. It is usually towards the bottom of the little configuration window that opens). Then go into the software until you track it all down.

Sorry  I could not be more specific, but let us know if this does not work. I could try to walk you through it over the phone.

I have already tried this P and it says custom 13X19 on the Paper Availiable but it still prints 14X19 if I do not go to printer Advanced setting on print out and change it there. It may be in my FastRip 9.0 setting not sure but I will check and I will let you know what I find out. Thnks

Think I figured it out... Go to printer thru control panel then printing preferences and change the custom there. Maybe it will work

You save your settings while in the print driver's menu panel. ( hit print, and the proper menu comes up, from within Corel or whatever )
The setting for sheet size...
You have to give your new sheet size a name.
You can specify all your other settings as well, and then when you hit print, the menu comes up
and you just choose whatever you called it ( don't call it default ).

Did you get this sorted?
I have some screengrabs I'm still meaning to put into a 'easy to read' visual settings tutorial.
( saved them for my own forgetfulness..I mean, how often do you change em? )
