M&R screen clamps
« on: January 02, 2019, 11:40:43 AM »
Hello can any one help me with this.

We thought we had leaking screen clamp valves but after replacing there was still an air leak , then was suggested by 244 that it was probably the cylinders. I have a bunch of new cylinders
but am trying to figure out how to tell which of the 2 air cylinders for the rear or front clamps is leaking , assuming that they may not be both leaking. any thought?

When cylinders are engaged in the down position, remove the bottom air line to the cylinder, see if you have air coming out of the fitting. if so cylinder is blowing by and is bad.

If not put hose back in and do the same thing when the cylinder is retracted. If no leaks in either direction cylinder is good and holding pressure.

9 times out of 10 it will turn out to be a cylinder issue over the air switches.
