Ok am I doing something wrong? I use Easiway Plasitsolv 842 to remove ink completely, dip in tank with Supra.

Should I be doing something different with the 701?

Forget the 842.. scrape the ink good. Dip, spray out then hit the entire screen with 701 and rinse. The 701 will remove any excess ink off the frame and mesh. This product works really good.

Follow what rick said, 842 should be used as a press wash and tool cleaner.

Rick's procedure has worked for us... on most inks. On our low cure ELT-S inks, it's been better to include an ink removal stage prior to the dip. For that, we use either 701 or Saat IR4. The reason for this is that the ink residue was preventing adequate emulsion breakdown.

Shop variables may come into play here, too. Ours is a tiny shop, and screens can potentially sit for a week or more before reclaim - and time seems to make ELT-S inks more stubborn. So, we've made ink removal part of the breakdown procedure. In a shop where screens are being fully cycled on a daily basis, ink removal might not be needed.

Best thing to do is try dropping ink removal, and see if it works. If so, great! If not, add it back in.
Nice guys laugh last.
