I heard your Ribbitt Frog!
1. Establish that you have gas coming thru the solonoid valve which you have done.
2. Make sure you are getting spark
a) check spark plug to make sure gap is about .035-.040
b)Inspect ignition wire for cuts that could be arcing to ground, and that connection with plug is tight.
c) Take plug out and put on the ground (do not hold) and cycle. When the solonoid valve opens you
Should see a good spark. If you do re install. Do the same again, look tru port and you should see flame. If you do, good! If you don’t you are starving for gas( either solonoid or maxitrol valve problem.
4. If you see fllame, then remove flame rod and make sure it is clean. Sand with 320grir to clean. Make
Sure wire is in good condition, crack free . Conections are tight. How long since flame rod was changed?
The vulcan uses the honeywell low end control. There should be test jacks on burner control . If so put
Voltmeter on dc and check reading of voltage at time of fire. I think the burner controller needs at least
1.5 volts to operate I will check!
No voltage? Change flamerod. Good voltage? Then it is a flame amplfier problem. Which you would change
Burner controller( grainger)
Hope this helps!
