Help needed
« on: December 18, 2017, 01:45:17 PM »
I just got in an order for some Nike jackets (NK746951).  Looking at the specs they have a water-repellent finish on them.

I do not think I have ever printed on anything like this.

What to do I do?? .  Get the water- repellent off or catalyze my ink.  Not sure.

Thanks for your help.

Good answer.  Too bad I do not do embroidery.

There are other items in the box I can not (will not) print.

Called the salesman and he will get with the customer.

That is the best route sometimes is to just turn stuff down...

transfers are another option.  Or you can use nylobond, and also wipe the surface with 93% rubbing alcohol.

What Brad said, we use to print nylon jackets for a trucking company and we would rub the spot to get printed with alcohol, and to make sure we remove must or all the waterproofing we would get a cup and put the jacket over the cup and push the jacket in the cup some and pour water in it.  If the water drain right on thru it was good to go, then after printing we would respray that area with water proofing spray.
