Frog has mentioned it a few times, but a "warm" surface for weeding will help release the vinyl from the backing.  I like the red picks from siser.  I know they are a little pricey, but they are comfortable (to me).

I also started adding relief cuts to art, so the whole image isnt part of the same weeding piece.  You can pull the negative area off of individual elements of a design in whatever way seems efficient, and it saves some time and hassle.

I have a collection of dental picks similar to the Grainger option, but damn if my original Stahls weeder isn't my favorite. The tip is just really thought out well, and grips really nicely.

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

These....

I buy several sets of these, they are cheap, and if someone loses one, I'm not out that much..

Strangely enough, I use the straight pick most of the time, although other like the curved.

Same here , basically what I learned with so quickest for me. Have tried the pointy tweezers and weeding tools but always end up back at Xacto 11

an embroidery needle mounted into the end of a wood dowell handle.
works great especially on very small pieces.
the other end of the dowell is a burnishing tool
