I have some vinyl that I am matching an ink color to... The vinyl claims to be pms 102m. Does anyone know what the m is? I am familiar with coated and uncoated. I have never had an m color...

matte, no idea how it relates to anything in our industry or otherwise.

My guess is it's not too far from C.  U tends to be darker since uncoated paper will absorb ink differently.

From what I see, it was a 'matte' color.

These are the situations that I bring in the custy to approve a color after explaining that a perfect match is unlikely. Never had a rejection. Except for the big corporations who demand perfect matches, most folks generally understand our constraints.
