Why not just use google cloud drive as backup? Keeps a local copy and live syncs to the cloud. The cloud will always be more reliable than physical hardware on site. The argument used to be that you'd have to have an internet connection at all times, but who DOESN'T have a high speed connection 24/7 these days? I think I pay $1.99/mo for 100Gb of storage.
Google Drive is not a reliable backup by itself. It's all about 3-2-1 backup. 3 places, 2 locations, 1 of them off-site. I highly suggest CrashPlan. Cheap and let's you backup to our own local sources like hard drives, and also to the cloud.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
