Unplug your usb connection, click inside of the fusion window and plug it back in. Windows (what version do you have on the vm?) will recognize the printer and you should be all good to go.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a better solution to this but this one's quick, dirty and works. I have fusion but haven't installed it on our newer computers as I have, apparently, zero need for windows now.
Accurip runs on mac, FM does not by the way. Accurip is a little different I think in the fact that's it just auto-generates it's own drivers so os isn't much of an issue I suppose. I was very interested in FM but the fella claimed that nobody uses macs enough to justify making a version. That must be true in some sort of market analysis figures but not in the real world if you ask me but to each their own I suppose. I'd more than likely be running FM if there was a mac version. I really don't feel like using VM or a rip station just for one program.
One other option that I used to use as a compromise is to get a used old laptop without the screen with XP sp2 for your rip station and run it into the second input on your display. When it's rip time, just pull out your little keyboard sized computer, switch inputs on the monitor and set it loose. Keeps the 'ol office from being cluttered.
