You can batch rename folders of fonts with their actual names.
I took around 9000 fonts we had at work here, collected over many years,
and after renaming them in a temporary folder, found I had over 4000 duplicates.
Needless to say, my extra font folder is nice and neat now.
Anyhow, spring cleaning and all that.
