Where do you get your ink cleanup cards?
« on: February 07, 2017, 01:12:04 PM »
I have two suppliers we use and neither seem to carry these.  Suggestions?

I also use spatulas, but second option is TexSource. https://www.screenprintingsupply.com/Texsource-Ultimate-Clean-Up-Card_p_13212.html (TexSource offers a lower qty, but Spot Color has a better price on the big box.)

At my last shop, they ordered card stock & we cut them on a paper cutter. Of course, the labor paid for that likely made them more expensive than just ordering them ready to use.
Nice guys laugh last.

yeah, the ink cards are hella cheap honestly  We don't use them for ink, just cleaning the emulsion from the scoop coater.

That's weird?? When I use the search function I get them first, for all of those terms... I'm not sure what would cause them to not show up. Maybe some of the tech guys around here might know. Does the browser have anything to do with it?

I get coated card stock clean up cards from Ryonet.  1000 or so to a box.  Use them for many things around the shop.

Been in the industry since 1996.  5+ years with QCM Inks.  Been a part of shops of all sizes and abilities both as a printer and as an Artist/separator.  I am now the Ink and Chemical Product Manager at Ryonet.

I use misprinted business cards. Got about 6000 or so still. Surely everyone has some of these going thru various trade printers.
