New M&R oval ?
« on: December 27, 2016, 04:33:04 PM »
I'm sure Rich will chime in as I'm super curious to know the deal with the new M&r oval called the victory. At a recent trade show in turkey  the Chinese company cntop were making the claims they have struck a deal with M&r to produce this new machine. I figured this might be a total lie as I just can't imagine rich wanting to produce one of their machines in china. Anyone care to share what's up as something just seems odd here. Maybe it's a way to bring a much cheaper oval solution to the market?

This rendering the cntop place was sharing does not look like traditional M&r screen holders, etc but it looks identical to the Chinese machines found all over alibaba when searching Chinese oval screen printing machines.

M&R has had things going on for years in other country's, Different stuff than we know about M&R here in the US.

IN addition, I have often been surprised even when working there myself, to find out we have been doing this or built that. I've seen things that were put out as new technology from competitors at shows, letting things get fumbled around on for the first few years by customers while we have had it for 3-4 years (or more) before them being perfected, but M&R never put it out there first. First to Market is great for "ideas" but for machinery, not so much.

Eh, it's got China written all over it.

Here it is complete with (I'm assuming) bootleg Disney prints sporting those wackjob fleamarket color schemes.

Hahaha!  The title says professional "Better" than M&R press.  I guess if you're going say it's  "better than" and you have to pick one of the major competitors it's apparently M&R even in China. LOL.  But isn't this the same press as shown above?  If so, why the title of "better than".  Confused.

Yea, some of the items are identical while other area not so much.  The one from the alibabah website might be a Chinese knock off of a Chinese manufacturer building and distributing for M&R in China.  Who knows.  Honestly, I don't know how they each handle these knock off issues (within China). One Chinese manufacturer can knock off another Chinese manufacturer. How do they handle that?  Just go about their business as if nothings going on?  Seems like.

Not the same press. No CE no UL components and completely different electronics. Even cylinders are EMC instead of SMC. All copies look alike but definitely don't run alike. We at this point don't even sell this unit in China or the States.

let's keep it a little more vague. ??? Lotta water under the bridge, but we do have some basic tenets to still follow.

I see pictures from fespa that this oval is there. Looks identical to the Chinese company cntop oval. What's the story is this an M&r or a Chinese cntop?(as to where the machine is being machined, welded, assembled, etc)
