Anaconda Flash Unit

Has anyone tried the new flash units from Brown? http://brownmfg.net/p/470/anaconda i love the concept, but i also would like to hear from any users out there.

Being able to easily put a compact flash unit anywhere on the press would have some advantages... but the idea of heat pressing fresh ink certainly raises questions. I'd be interested in more info from people who have used one of these, too.

it looks like it takes advantage of a tried and tested technique, we already flash to raise the temperature of the ink and then with the next station we use the Action Engineering roller squeegee and a teflon screen to flatten the fibres while the ink is in a gel state, I would love to hear from an actual user though.

I'd like to see it in action.  It's a great idea, but it's only 15A, which seems under powered to me.  I could be wrong though.

Interesting idea. I really like that Brown has been stepping up their technology game with some intriguing products that past couple years. Whats the MSRP on this? Is there a youtube video of this in action?

Just bringing this topic back up, I saw a video Brown put out but it doesn't tell much.  Just wondering if this will literally flash wet inks without a disaster or if it's really just meant to be a heated roller screen for flattening an already cured base.  I'm not a fan of IR panels for various safety reasons but not sure I have power for a second quartz.  At the right price this could be a nice option as a second flash on press when needed if it actually works as a true flash at a price that makes sense.
