New Workhorse Sabre
« on: December 02, 2016, 07:05:18 PM »
We have been running non-stop trying to keep up with our manuals and quite frankly, falling behind everyday with increases orders. Pulled the trigger today and went with the Sabre. Now the waiting begins...

Any crazy tips or ideas while I count down the days? Biggest question, how long did it take before you was really comfortable with it?

About 10 minutes.

Congrats!! You're going to love it.

I agree with king, I'd never go back to manual or my old auto after the Sabre, only suggestion is to hire a motivated person to run quality control and fold for you, because that press will work you to death with its speed :)

Well, it's not blazing fast... but it's definitely fast enough!

Yeah, we were good with ours pretty  much right away.

Thanks, they said when they leave we would be ready to crank it up. The shop is getting backlogged and being shut down for a few days isn't going to help things.

How much room did you leave to work around it?

We are tight 19' wide.

So we pretty much "comfortably" slide passed the heads by the wall. Lol

So heads 4,5, and 6 are trickier to get to but no me really complains.

I'll sell you ours.

I'd suggest working with your whites though... we are printing with a sabre and we have ours running FULL out on the white print... rarely are we double stroking and even if we do, it's not as painful since it's as fast as it can go.

I haven`t seen it first hand. But from the videos it looks like a nice intuitive piece of equipment.
congrats!

ps. Please give us some insights later.

sincerely
Gabe.

I thought this, in reality I couldn't make it work, mine is collecting dust.  The press I love, but the double squeegee just didn't perform.

Glad you got the new press installed, no doubt you'll keep loving it!  It's the best investment I've made in years.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
