Which Foil /Adhesive for on press foiling?
« on: December 02, 2016, 04:09:40 PM »
Hey guys,

Interested on what the guys that are using on press irons for foil are using for the actual foil, and the adhesive. Maybe heat settings as well.

As we all know there are good combinations of glue/foil and horrible ones.

We currently are using R foil and Wilflex plastisol adhesive.  Best results are flashing the adhesive after a P/F/P ( So P/F/P/F) . On fleece it is automatic. Looks great. T shirts, it is patchy, and difficult. I am wondering if a soft top pallet would help, as heat pressing a 2 stroke print /No flash for 10 seconds works perfectly. ( obviously the heat press is a soft silicon mat)

Where better to learn than the Pros at TSB!

Thanks in advance,

I was told that you have to use virus foil adhesive and that's just what it is.

We aren't doing foil on press, and I like to just use metallic gold and foil that so that when it chips away then gold is still underneath.

But I know by experience the virus foil works well, and heard that is really the only one that works good on press.
